Where ya'll been!??!

WOW!! What's everyone been up to?? ME!!?!? well, thank you for asking - lemme just tell ya - we've had a GREAT summer......here's a quick recap of the "fam" over the last couple of weeks!! Hayden learned how to ride his bike with NO TRAINING WHEELS!!!

Kord celebrated his EIGHTH birthday!! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE!?!?! His sleepover with TWELVE friends went well - the rain didn't hold us back from camping out and roasting marshmallows either!! For his birthday Kord received his FIRST "motor bike"..... Mommy is STILL trying to get used to it!! Daddy, on the other hand - is THRILLED!!!


Chase Russell is OFFICIALLY potty trained!!! :) such a big boy!!
Hayden is getting ready for Kindergarten (how is THAT possible?!?! in MY MIND he's only three!) So - he had his LEGS full of shots!!!

Sooooooooooooo, School is ALMOST ready to begin!!! Are you ready!?!?!

I've been working on the newsletter most of the day - so be looking for that in your email box in the next day or so.....gotta get it proofed by mom - cuz we all know how i can get a little carried away with my chattiness!!! (i do have to say - i enjoy the blog more because i don't HAVE to be AS formal with ya'll....you know me!!)

Your fee includes a Scrap*Pink item, a crop space and a few snacks!! A portion of the proceeds from the crop will go to the Susan G. Komen foundation!!

okay - as most of you know - we went to Maple Memories in May..or was it April - anyway - we are in LOVE with Shannon and her craft house!!! If you haven't heard of it - check out her website - you will NOT REGRET spending the money - it's soooo relaxing and so worthwhile!!! (mom and i and kristy are going BACK again in 18 days!) anyway - she has asked us to post this on our area crops page - if you're interested - give her a call or email!!!

PINK PAJAMA PARTY CROP

Maple Memories is hosting a Pink Pajama Party Crop the weekend of Oct 24-26th, 2008. This will be an all inclusive weekend, with meals, snacks, and beverages provided, in addition to being a fundraiser for Breast Cancer and Women's Health issues. And, of course, there will be FABULOUS prizes!! The crop will begin at noon on Friday and continue through 4pm on Sunday (that's 52 HOURS!!). Registration will open up at NOON on August 1st and there will only be 12 spots available. Reservations will be taken in the order they are received (both by phone and email). Mark your calendars now!! The cost of the weekend will be $160.00 per person, with Maple Memories donating a portion of this directly to the Pink Pajama Party Fund for Breast Cancer patients. We will email the registration forms to the first 12 people to contact us and then the payment, along with the form, will be expected within one week in order to hold your spot (and yes, we will start a waiting list in case these aren't returned).

This weekend will be slightly different from Hosted weekends in the past, since it is also a fundraiser. There are events going on in town, including a March down Main Street in honor of survivors and to bring awareness and an event on Saturday night known as "The Pink Pajama Party" that we will be attending. In addition, we will be asking those attending to raise funds in a Crop-a-thon format (pledges based on number of pages completed or you can get outright donations). We will be giving away prizes for the top 3 fundraisers. You will also receive one door prize ticket for each $15.00 that you raise. Each participant will also receive a pair of Breast Cancer Awareness Pajamas to wear to the Pink Pajama Party event in McPherson!!

Flair and Frills will also be providing manicures, pedicures, and/or massages during the weekend. The best part!!?? They will be donating $5.00 from every service to our cause!! More details on how to schedule these services will come with your registration.

Okay - okay - okay - i know - i'm a TERRIBLE BLOGGER-errrr!!! I am so thrilled to hear the phone calls and emails inquiring how it went on Saturday morning - no excuses - you don't wanna hear em' - i know - just busy!!

Well - we had a crowd outside on Saturday morning - they were enjoying the HOT sun and Lexi (girl Friday!!!) - Kristy's daughter was our "runner" and delivered my homemade chocolate chip cookies to everyone!!! :) Congratulations to Theresa Hobson - she was our first person to be here and register on Saturday morning - so she gets to choose which charity a portion of our raffle winnings go to!!!

We did NOT sell out - we do still have 50 seats available out of 170!! So that's good! :) There is only ONE MONTH and THREE WEEKS left until the event - so if you're considering coming - you'd better be hopping on the wagon!! I have to start shopping for goodies and prizes - so i will need a head count soon!!!

We haven't received AS MUCH feedback about the goodie bags as we'd like.......do you have an opinion!?!? THIS IS YOUR CHANCE to give us feedback about what YOU'D like to see us improve on at our crops!! This is all about making this YOUR CROP!!!! Just a random picture and side note - we said goodbye to our GOOD LOOKING FED EX man on Friday too - he's moving to OKLAHOMA!!! we'll misssssssssssssss him!!!! (don't you just love how oliver is just chillin' in the photo!)

We finalized all of our CHA orders on Friday and are just waiting on our new stuff to start arriving!! CANNOT wait for the halloween and christmas papers that we ordered to get here!! I'm anxiously counting down to Maple Memories in August - when mom and i get to go and RELAX with some friends and CROP CROP CROP!!! Speaking of cropppin' - we do have a crop this friday night from 5:00- midnight if you wanna come and join us! :)

Okay - so ONE day until Crop*A*Ganza registration opens!! This is always such a guessing game for us!! We have been asked all week long - "what time should I get here on Saturday morning?" - uhhhhhh, i'm not sure!!! We don't wanna tell you to be here at 7:00am (krusty mullins!!!) and you're the ONLY person in the parking lot until NOON!! But we also don't want to say - ahhhhh, just come in anytime on Saturday and have us sell out again in 30 minutes!!?! So - just use your GUT and come on in whenever you can?!?!?! I just sent out a newsletter reminding everyone of the registration opening on Saturday, so be watching for that!!!

We've been busy this week, preparing for that......adjusting to Smyers being gone.....and receiving some new and restocked stuff in!!! I've also been busy with our instructors....we are gearing up for August when our classes start back up!!! They've got some ADORABLE layouts for you!!!

Monica has completed anADORABLE School Album for her Album in a Day class in August!! You will complete and ENTIRE album in 5 1/5 hours!! It's AWESOME!! She's used the new DCWV Back to School Stack (which i LOVE!)....it's $45.00 and you will leave with an ENTIRE ALBUM COMPLETED!! (does not include the actual ALBUM!!) We are limiting the class size on this one - to guarantee personal attention - so if you're considering signing up - you might wanna do that soon!!! (i'll post pics of it soon - they are SOOOOOO cute!)

Kristy is going to begin a new class as well.....well - not NEW - but NEW to her!! She's going to start a BABY class!!! She's been working on her first layouts for the first class (which we're not sure when it is yet....kristy?!?!) and she's used the new Animal Crackers line from Making Memories!! (this JUST might be the cutest baby line EVA!)

Renee has her SECOND "What Matters Most" class this weekend!!!

Jana came in last week and brought some of her best layouts yet....IS ThAT POSsibLE?!?!! :) I'm excited to get her "Toddle Time" and "BOB" & "GIGI" classes back up and running - i can't show you sneeks of her layouts cuz aaahhhmmmmm, she took them with her?!?! I'm thinking she's bringing them with her on Saturday when she comes with our Bux to answer the telephono for ganza registration!! :)

Monica is working on another Scrapbook 101 class, coming up in August!!

We're working on a date and more information for our Soldering class with Renee - so be looking for that as well, we haven't forgotten about it!! :)

We going to sit down tomorow over lunch and finalize our CHA picks and purchases - so i can't WAIT to start recieving THAT stuff!!! Soooooo much cute, cool and AWESOME stuff is coming - and some NEW companies that we've chosen this time - i'll tell you more about that after we've received confirmation from our vendors!!!

I'm happy to report that we've donated $875.00 to Victory in the Valley since November 2007 for the Fight Like a Girl Shirts!!! (extra special thank yous go to Jana for that!!)

Annnnd, i hope this is alright to share with you.....Jana has been sewing lke a maniac!! and she has some GORGEOUS new things to share with all of you at ganza!! I don't wanna tell you too much until i get the go ahead from her - but i'm expecting the demand to be HUGE and i'm certain she'll be taking orders for THESE HOT ITEMS to deliver at Ganza!! I'll show you a picture as soon as she gives me the okay!!

OOOH!!! Don't forget next time you're in to vote on our PHOTO 101 boards!!! We're going to be taking them down at the end of the month and awarding our winner!!! You're voting on the entire board - not the "layout of the board" but the PHOTOGRAPHS ON THE BOARD!!! They are in front of the regsiter!!

Speaking of Photo boards - our next digi and photo 101 class sign up sheets are ready for sign ups!! We only limit these classes to 10 - to guarantee more personal attention in the class - so if you're considering learning Photoshop Elements 5 or 6....or learning more about your camera, give the store a call today!

Regarding your registration forms for ganza - make sure and let me know WHO you're wanting to sit with!! Sometimes these sheets get separated - so just b/c you sign up together doesn't mean i'm going to remember that when doing the seating chart!!! So - the MORE explanation i get on your registration form - the better!!!

OH!!! I wanted to show you the invitations for Kords 8th birthday that Renee and I created!! (more renee, than me!) Aren't they stinkin' CUTE!!!! It's called "Camp Kord"!! They're gonna CAMP - go on a scavenger hunt and roast marshmallows!!!

Okay - IN MY DEFENSE!!! I have posted TWO new posts this week - AND lost both of them due to COMPUTER ISSUES!!!!! ARRRGGGHHHHH!!! I was VERY frustrated, so i have given myself a couple of days away and now i'm back to try again - THIRD TIMES A CHARM right?!

Finally cleaned out my car from Ganza!!! WHAT does that mean!?!? 1) i'm lazy?! 2) i'm SUPA busy or 3) i NEVER scrapbook?!?! You pick!!!

For those of you that pre-ordered your Ganza Layouts AT Ganza - we are still waiting on the paper to arrive - but no worries - we have a list and we'll get them to you as soon as possible!!

Mom and I are trying to get used to not having Sarah around.....sad really!! I am trying to get the hang of taking over all the behind the scenes JUNK (just kidding!) that goes into Crop*A*Ganza!!! It COULD just be that we JUST finished June Ganza, but this seems to be VERY overwhelming!!! But, have no fear - I WILL PERSEVERE!!!! :)

Soooo - you might have noticed that the SEPTEMBER CAG Registration form is now at the side of the blog!! You can print it off and have it ready to go.....registration opens on SATURDAY JUNE 19th!!!! 9:00AM!! ****************YES i know that we are having issues with it NOW - but give me the day and I'll have it ready!! :)

We will be ready, at that time, to take your registrations by PHONE (our lovely JANA will be helping with our phone in registrations!) 316-733-0029 .....you can COME in and see US in person (you might be one of the lucky ones to try one of STEFFANIE's FAMOUS homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies!) OR you could fax it in!!! 316-733-4922......please know that it is first come first serve - so we will get the phone and faxes as fast as we can - but the people that are here to register in person will be the first ones we honor!!! :)

***some of the things we are changing this time: 1) - we've lowered the price to $80.00 !!!! HOWEVER - we are NOT supplying catered MEALS this time!! The feedback has been GREAT from this decision!!! We WILL still have the hospitality room!! 2) - we are opening up entry to the crop room EARLY!! You can now arrive and set up at noon on Friday the 12th!!! So - you can take the entire day off work and not feel as though it's been wasted!!! *******(this will also allow you to make appointments for early massages and pedicure appointments!!) 3) - when reserving your room at the Best Western - please make sure and request a room AWAY from the South Atrium if you do not want to be bothered with the noise!!! Make sure and tell them that you are with Scrap*Funattic or Crop*A*Ganza so that you can be locked into our room rate of $79.99.

The theme this time is "Don't Worry Be Happy"!! I am LOOKING for a SMILEY face icon for our countdown ticker, but haven't had much luck lately!!! But, i'm looking at smiley face decor!!! So - be on the lookout for me, if you're out and about!!!

We've got the information for our next digi and photo 101 class!!!

The DIGI class will begin on August 21st and run every OTHER Thursday night from 6:30-8:30.....we are excited to have Danielle join our team and she's up for the challenge of teaching you how to use Photoshop Elements 5 and/or 6!!! So - give the store a call if you're interested in signing up for that!! It's $120.00 for the entire 6 week class - and you will leave with a few printed layouts as well as a 6x6 album when the class is complete!!!

The Photo 101 class will begin on October 11th and run every Saturday from 10:00-noon for six weeks - ending on November 15th - with TWO field trips replacing in store classes!! It is also $120.00 for the six week class and you can call and reserve your spot NOW!

Between all of that....i'm also trying to dedicate more time to OLIVER!! Our new puppy!! He's also learning to take on the new role as "Store Mascot"!! I've been watching a LOT of the "Dog Whisperer"!! LOVE THAT SHOW!!! But, here's a few shots of him over the last two weeks!!!

Yes, I do realize HE is BOY - - - - he's just a MetroSexual DOG who happens to LOVE his blue bow!!!
