I saved a piece of slatwall from the trash and repainted it, bought the accessories online. I picked out unfinished cabinets that I painted that I could use as storage. The desk is also laminate countertops purchased right off the shelf (both had nicks in them, so we got discounts). The desktop is anchored by two drawer shelves from The Container Store.
